New Ground #11 is here!!!

Launched at the Wellington Armageddon Expo in April.
Special Thanks to Stevie McCleary, Kelly-Marie and Waiton Fong for creating a buzz at the DMC Comics stall with sketches and talking up the New Zealand Comic Industry and the ideas behind DMC Comics. And impersonating Dr WHO!!!
Sales were strong at the expo but I noticed a lot more interest in comic creating from local creators. I think a few of those people maybe the next DMC Comics contributors.

We are open for submissions for New Ground #12 for release at Auckland Armageddon Expo. Submissions close 1st Sept 2009, so be in quick!

DMC Comics has also done a talk at Pompallier Catholic College to 100 very eager students in May and we were part of the promotional page in the Sunday News on 17th May. Also very soon NEW GROUND will be making another appearance on SHORTLAND STREET - mid-June.

DMC Comics has been publishing a six-monthly (April & October) anthology - NEW GROUND - of New & Established New Zealand Comic Creative Talent, since 2004.
The anthology, "New Ground", is a collectible preview comic of future New Zealand comic series & mini-series, being released at the ARMAGEDDON PULP CULTURE EXPO (Auckland/Wellington/Christchurch).

The anthology work is the building platform for the planned solo-series from the creators involved. We are always looking for new NZ comic talent, so if you have material that you would published or would like to talk to us about your work, please email me or visit us at

The solitary life of half human half insect, Titus takes a dramatic turn
when he stumbles across an evil plan to destroy the planet. Much to his added surprise he learns that only he has the power to prevent this catastrophe. With a couple of unlikely allies Titus is faced with the monumental task of saving humanity.
"Follow the Grief Lines #1" presents the first half of this tale of 'good versus evil' set in a not too distant Auckland.
